Setup: Split field into two halves with a central zone between them. Play 2v2 in each half. 4 neutral players positioned inside the central zone. Full-size goals with goalkeepers. Neutrals limited to one touch but may shoot from central zone. First team to score 2 goals wins; losing team rotates into central zone. Drill Steps: • Play begins 2v2 in each half. • Teams may pass directly into the opposite half or use neutrals. • Neutrals play one-touch and can shoot from the central zone. • Goalkeeper may distribute to either half or to neutrals. • First team to score 2 goals wins. • Losing team rotates into the neutral group. Coaching Points: • Take play toward end line to create space. • Create shooting lanes for neutrals. • Look for blind side runs behind defenders. • Use horizontal takeovers and overlaps in 2v2. • Quick decision making in tight spaces. Variations: • Attacking team may score in either goal; defending team must protect both. • Limit touches for players in halves. • Restrict direct long passes between halves. • Adjust size of central zone.
