Drill Description

Title: Circle Ball Elimination Category: Technical Warm-Up / Fun Game Age Tags: U11, U13, U15, U17, 19U+ Skill Tags: Reaction Speed, Agility, Ball Control, Awareness, Competition Purpose: Create a fast-paced, competitive environment that develops quick reactions and ball control under pressure. Setup: Players form a large circle. Place several balls in the center (one less than the number of players). No balls at players’ feet to start. Drill Steps: • On coach’s signal, players sprint into the middle. • Each player attempts to secure one ball. • Player who does not get a ball is eliminated. • Remove one ball each round. • Continue until one player remains as the winner. Coaching Points: • React quickly on signal. • Stay balanced while entering traffic. • Shield ball once secured. • Keep head up to find space. • Compete hard but stay under control. Variations: • Require dribble back to circle spot. • Add specific move before returning. • Weak foot control only. • Timed rounds instead of elimination. Time: 6–10 minutes
