Title: Triangle Support Passing Category: Technical / Combination Play Age Tags: U11, U13, U15, U17, 19U+ Skill Tags: Passing & Receiving, Movement Off Ball, Support Angles, Combination Play, First Touch Purpose: Improve off-ball movement and supporting angles through continuous triangle passing combinations. Setup: Place four red cones in a square, each about 10 yards apart. Place one blue cone in the center. One player starts at each red cone. One player begins at the blue central cone. One ball in play (start on outside). Drill Steps: • Outside player passes to the central player. • Central player returns the pass and moves to create a new triangle. • Ball is played to the next outside cone. • Central player continues to support and combine. • Central player completes four triangle combinations, then rotates with an outside player. • Drill continues continuously. Coaching Points: • Move immediately after passing. • Create proper support angles. • Open body to receive. • Play firm, accurate passes. • Communicate and stay active off the ball. Variations: • Two-touch limit. • One-touch return pass. • Add a passive defender. • Increase distance between cones. Time: 8–12 minutes
