3v3 Continuous End Zone Game

Title: 3v3 Continuous End Zone Game Category: Small-Sided Games Age Tags: U11, U13, U15, U17, 19U+ Skill Tags: 1v1 Attacking, Dribbling, Speed & Change of Direction, Combination Play, Transition Purpose: Encourage aggressive attacking in 1v1 situations while promoting quick transitions and combination play in a continuous game format. Setup: 30 x 20 yard grid with end zones on each end. Three teams of three players. Two teams play 3v3 inside the grid. Third team waits on one end line. Teams score by dribbling into the opponent’s end zone. Drill Steps: • Play begins 3v3 inside the grid. • Teams score by dribbling under control into the end zone. • After a goal, scoring team quickly passes to the waiting team. • Team that was scored on rotates to the end line. • Scoring team becomes defenders. • Game continues back and forth with quick transitions. Coaching Points: • Attack defenders aggressively in 1v1 moments. • Change speed and direction to unbalance opponents. • Look for blind-side runs. • Recognize opportunities for thru passes. • Transition quickly after scoring or conceding. Variations: • Decrease the size of the end zone. • Add touch limit. • Require combination before entering end zone. • Adjust grid size for difficulty. Time: 10–15 minutes
